Property Description
The Cottage Mendocino is nestled happily back from the bluff with ocean views wrapped in redwoods. This colorful 2-bedroom, 1-bath cottage makes a joyful first impression and has been completely renovated with an elegant rustic feel from the magazine-ready gourmet kitchen; to the re-purposed, wide-plank hardwood flooring; to the large picture windows that flood the rooms with bright, natural light. Add to this a wrap-around deck with a sunken spa; built-in indoor/outdoor sound system; and an outdoor area perfect for dining al fresco and you have the complete getaway package. The home and lush gardens are fully fenced and there is a detached 1-car garage. The cottage is a short jaunt to the historic Mendocino Village with restaurants, galleries, art center and quaint shops. Within minutes, you can be gathering driftwood on the beach, kayaking up Big River, or hiking through Russian Gulch State Park. This is a perfect place to switch off and relax while taking in the sounds of the crashing surf and breathtaking beauty of the north coast. The cottage is being sold fully furnished inside and out.
